I'm going through this with my little brother; we'll see how this goes.
As far as I've seen, it looks like it is going to divert from the "original" storyline (I'm using Roger Lancelyn Green's "The Adventures of Robin Hood" as my source 'original.') and take the terrible Disney path; aka: happy endings for all who deserve them.
(Even at the cost of going all Disney and tearing apart the original end.)
