Does it give you much of a feel for the times in which he left? Good sports biographies can do that, but I find that bad ones are like reading the back of somebody's baseball card.

Hi Brian, I'm only 100 pages in to "Spoke" and up to now, it does have " bit of that "reading a baseball card" feel. There's some historical perspective, but not as much as you might like. It has not been a "can't put it down" type of book for me but I'll finish it as I'm working on a goal of reading a biography of each one of the HOF"s original inductees. Hope my comments help you out.
