Think I'll just call it quits.
The characterisation bothers me. Evelina in particular is inconsistent and rather unlikable. Not fun to read about someone who's arrogant and pointlessly mean - I think the intention was imperious but it comes off more as childish. Not much worldbuilding, the plot still doesn't interest me, bad dialogue and the tone is really off too.
I feel bad about leaving a bad review though.
