My husband suggested we go out tonight and I said he should go with his friends since it's been a long time he saw them. The real reason of course is that I could stay and read the book. Yeah, I'm loving this one too:)

Yes, that thought had always been there, the knowledge that she needed him, if for no other reason than to make her smile in the middle of the night. Without him, she would always be hard, cold, unforgiving, because no one would care to change it as much as he did. She would never know the joy of laughing, loving, hurting. She would never know any of it.
He could teach her those things, he knew he could.

"You're braver than I thought."
"There's no bravery involved," she snapped irritably.
"I've two big strong men to protect me, don't I?"
"One anyway," he murmured.
"Don't insult Jimene."
"I was talking about Jimene."

LOL! Never imagined I'd enjoy a drunkard as a hero, but I do. Too bad the heroine is a cold bitch:(

Alkyoni lucky you :( I have to go to some avant-garde theatrical play where a friend of mine reads a monologue. I've been miserable all week for that :[

Shame on us, lol!

That does sound tragic. Perhaps some really small headphones that wouldn't be visible from far could help you?

message 5: by Alkyoni (new)

Alkyoni I did think about that, but alas, it's a small theater, they'll know. Oh it is tragic, believe me. I still have nightmares from her last play...

Fani *loves angst* Be brave then. And patient. And temporarily deaf:)

Anthi Alkyoni, if it's any consolation, it would only be a couple of hours and it will pass :/

Fani *loves angst* It makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one. The fun thing is that he believes I'm actually making a sacrifice by staying in babysitting (the already sleeping kids) while he's out partying:)
I hope you find your excuse Katlynne!

Alkyoni Oh you have no idea Anthi. And the worst part was that the lights were on, my friend was actually staring the audience in the eye while performing. I couldn't even space out. It was hell I tell you, hell!

Still, it was better than the previous one that she was on. The actors were walking around naked, spitting and puking for 2 hours on that one. Worst 2 hours of my life... And then people ask me why I prefer staying home with my book instead of socializing :[

Fani *loves angst* LOL! I guess it was better then:)
