Let's see if I follow the logic. She's to go about in society posing as his wife. This woman who he knew to be a virgin and who has made it clear she is not for sale and unwilling to whore, is to seduce his enemy and get something to help him avenge himself. In return, he will ruin the men who ruined her father, and restore her family fortunes. Only she will be known by this point in society as a whore. Great.
