I always tell my pupils not to feel they have to keep reading a book they are not enjoying. Of course, sometimes it is worth persevering with a challenging text and the effort pays off. I have decided to bail out of this book as I have become weary of its characters and it's magical realism . Not L d B's best. I think he would have been better stopping with Senor Vivo and the Coca Lord.
