The title is wrong. Seth isn't a damaged hero, he's a spoilt, indulged brat of a n idiot who thinks only about himself. I might have been able to tolerate that, but at the start of chapter 7 the story has jumped forward several weeks and now, of course, he is showing off just how good he is at racing horses. This from someone who hated them earlier.
