"The Thing on the Doorstep"
This was an interesting one. Normally I can see where the story is going, but while a part of me suspected the twist here, I was actually surprised by it.
Interesting story as well.

"The Dream Quest to Unknown Kadath"
This is probably the longest of Lovecraft's fictions, and is more a short novel, than a short story. It follows Carter, a man we've met multiple times before, as he tries to reach a beautiful dream city.
It's well written, if a little repetative at times, and interesting, if a bit slow.
The main plot seems to be ''no place like home''

"Through the gates of the silver key"
I think I may have been too tired to understand this story today, but it was just plain weird. A lot of philosophy, and a little story and mystery

"The Very Old Folk"
So another dream—story, but thankfully this was actually a story. Not the best — so mucj politics! — but interesting enough

Another one that was just weird. I think I see on what the story is based, but mostly it seemed random to me...

"What the moon brings"
Not sure if I was just too tired to understand this, or if it was actually as weird as I think. If so, another novella about madness, and maybe drugs

"The White Ship"
Sometimes Lovecraft really plays with metaphores and symbolism, and he really pulls it of. This is one of those novellas

I honestly don't know what this story was about. There was a lot of backstory, and much back and forth, but that was that

"The Tree"
It is said that revenge is a dish best served cold. A rather fitting sentence to this story. Short and interesting as well

"The Transition of Juan Romero"
This is another of those annoying novellas in this collection. It has a lot of backstory and random stuff, then something leading to a climax, but the protagonist passes out or forgets what he sees, and then everything is almost back to normal, but nothing really happens.
I don't like these, 'cause they seem unfinished to me

I liked this one. I don't know exactly why, but I liked it.
