I feel so incrediably sorry reading this that Camus never finished. Even in (or perhaps "because of") its unfinished state The First Man is some of the most beautiful, thoughtful prose I have ever read. The writing is so good I'm constantly stopping to re-read parts to enjoy their flavor like some top wine or whiskey. Very certainly amongst the best books written.
