Really enjoying this book so far.

I was slightly nervous about reading Iain M. Banks again having read The Wasp Factory in school; a very surreal and unnerving read at times.

This, however, is glorious so far. As I'd hoped, it has a wide array of bizarre species, locations and technology and has been very well thought out.

Consider me engrossed.

Definitely a different style of writing to The Expanse series. Some of the character names are absurdly hard to remember, but I suppose that's par for the course in a space opera!
