Dude. Keller is saving this book.

"I don't do costumes." Oh my God. She is so pretentiously ____________. I don't know the word. Too cool for school. Rebel without a cause. Trying so hard to be different that it's trite.

Her personality is making me hate the book that EVERYONE loves.

FYI People with bulimia are typically average weight or heavier. You typically don't see severely low weight unless the person has anorexia (and the self-starvation that goes along with it). Maddie's clinical picture doesn't make sense. She needs to be starving herself to be underweight, not just bingeing/purging, and it sounds like she doesn't restrict. Just sayin'.

Please don't be an "everybody loves you but me" book. The clothing thing is pretentious. Being a slave to wearing alternative clothes = being a slave to brand names. Not digging the music snobbery bugs too or the caricature of a SoCal betty going on here (that wording is meant to be ironic). The word dude appears ONE HUNDRED NINETY NINE TIMES. I say "dude" a lot. But 199 times? That's, like, a total bummer, dude.

Again, I suck at predictions. I've avoided all spoilers for this book other than the fact that it is apparently in the the lead for "biggest ugly cry." Between that hint and my pathetic perception skills, I'm already wondering something. I won't put it here now because I'm too lazy to spoiler font.
