I selected this based on the recommendations and unusually favorable ratings of Goodreads members. This is absolutely in my genre of interest but as I read it I keep asking "SO WHAT'S THE POINT HERE?". How in the world can this book have merited so many high ratings? Were the readers given comps or something? I'll finish it probably but PU-LEEZE let's move it along and give the reader something to think about
