The book was very good! Some parts were very sad but in the end everything was happy and good. It was a really good book and i definitely would recommend it.

In my story, my protagonist is a girl named Matilda, or Mattie. Mattie's mother was a perfect little girl when she was younger, so Mattie's mother expects Mattie to be perfect also. Mattie is not what her mother wants her to be. She isn't polite, she isn't dressy, Mattie is a work girl.

The fever is slowly going away but everybody has either abandoned the town they are all hiding in their houses to keep away from the fever. Mattie and her grandfather just got back home to their house and there was a break in and everything was broken.
