What a perfect October read! I loved the atmosphere and voice. After visiting New Orleans and going on a swamp tour, I can tell Townsend did her research. This reminded me of Crimson Peak but more innocent. This is exactly the type of story that I've been craving for my spooky-hungry palette. I was curled up sick from a cold today, and this was the perfect nostrum.
