I'm starting to take exception to some of Jardine's portrayals of seminal thinkers in the history of the West. Too cocktail-partyish. I'm also not liking his treatment of Adam and Eve. I do like his take on Aristotle and Plato, though. Jardine's contentions about the power of human creativity are fascinating.
