Gotten to that strange point where the book does away with page numbers, so it's time for approximate percentages. Still fantastic.

So strange, but absolutely brilliant. The first story, Dradin in Love, reads a lot like a modern Gormenghast. The second I'm part way through, and is a history book, filled with footnots, detailing the founding and early years of the city in which these stories take place. If it carries on this strongly, there's every chance this will make my favourites shelf.
