Egregiously, hilariously, bad. Feels like Firefly fanfic. (The character Kizzy here is a perfect stand-in for Kaylee there.) The characters came from a spaghetti-SF catalog. The world building lacks any visible originality or even thought. Why do all the aliens have the same biochemistry and food preferences? The prose is soggy, the plot almost nonexistent.

Cannot recommend. Will keep going a bit more.
