Was a great book. Loved the idea of paddling the old voyager route. I wish he outlined more of those stories as he went on. Maybe they're in his thesis papers or other writings? At times he was too short and I wasn't keen on the diary style but overall it was good for what it was. I wonder how much of what he wrote in his diary was this simple and exact, or if he truly sat and wrote each night highlighting details.
