After a few decades since I've been in college, I decided to reacquaint myself with algebra, trigonometry, and geometry. So, I bought some textbooks....
It's frightening: the first two chapters of a COLLEGE algebra book is teaching concepts I learned in 5th and 6th grades. Chapters 3-10 were covered in 7th and 8th grade.
Is this a low-quality book, or an example of the dumbing-down of American students?
