Started reading it again after a 3 week hiatus. I was on vacation, during which I read two other books, both excellent.

I'm getting there. It's great in places and kind of dull in others

This books goes from science history to cultural history to a series of mini biographies. I like it then I don't.

This book starts of very slowly, as if the author is speaking softly. I thought it was a science history book, but it is more like a cultural history type of book.
