Chapter Three.
The author introduces Starling, his protagonist. He does a pretty solid job to my eyes of portraying the constant microaggressions women have to deal with, especially in professional environments, and how Starling has learned to respond. We’re also reintroduced to Hannibal Lecter in a scene so much more visceral than I remember seeing in Red Dragon. Looking forward to this reread.
