Luta Wolf I'm just seeing a lot of rude reviews on the free books. I mean it's not even bad rate then and understandable review, it's bad rate and then lets see how much of a bitch I can be, oh look at me I can be an ungrateful shit.
I mean there have been a few where I just didn't feel it was fair to tell them good job when in reality they didn't really try but for the most part these authors did something for free and everyone is acting like their dollar menu ice-cream should come with chocolate drizzle and sprinkles.
Okay vent over, sorry emotional pregnant lady!

Neko Ah, I see.
LOL...
No, no though, you have a good point. It's a total WTF moment.
Honestly.. *shakes head* Some people... I just have no words to describe their stupidity, ignorance and just plain disgusting characters.
It's a free read written in between an authors real time. 'good' or 'bad' doesn't matter, they took the time out of their already busy writing schedules to write something that everyone could enjoy for an event.
~sigh~
So yeah, I see and agree, I wouldn't be all too surprised if after this LESS or NO author's participate for these free events...

*whoo~ vent all you want!* lol..
Ah, How many weeks/months are you? =DD

Luta Wolf Exactly!!!! You totally get me :) Your exactly right in that these authors are taking time and money out of their pockets to write these stories and we should be greatful even if we don't like the story. It's like someone is giving you a Christmas gift and rather than appreciate that someone got you something your pissed that it wasn't that brand new toy they got you *shakes head*.
I know a few authors that have said they won't do it again and it pisses me of that a few shits would ruin it for us poor and utterly grateful shits that look forward to this at the start of the yr!
I'm six months and total shit at keeping up with weeks! Rofl! The doctor and staff can't wait to hear which week I will say I am in and won't tell me what I really am till I make a guess, haha. I just know I'm due Sept 27th though I'm going to try to hold out till oct so that me and my sister will only be a few months apart, hehe.

Victoria I read Dan's review of Beyond Duty, where he thanks the author for their time and talent. I let him know that I would be using this line for my reviews.

Luta Wolf That was totally awsome of him!

message 7: by WildFlower3D (new)

WildFlower3D I agree with you Luta, the authors are taking their time and talent to do something different and some of the reviews almost seem to vilify them for it. They are doing something that I think is purty awesome. Sometimes if you can't say anything nice saying nothing really is appropriate...

message 8: by WildFlower3D (new)

WildFlower3D Oh and as to the baby questions, if my cousin got asked anything she wasn't sure about, she would smile enigmatically and say, "Still pregnant!" lol

Luta Wolf I like reviews because readers get to know if a book is for them and they don't waste time or hard earned money on a book that wouldn't fit with them. I also feel that reviews can better an author. However I have to agree that in situations like this it's better to follow the golden rule of if you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all especially when your only being snarky and not really bringing anything to the table.
ROFL on the "still pregnant' comment :)
