Not sure of exact time period. Maybe around Regency. A little later time period than I usually read. Easy read. Has a resident "seer" with the "auld" ways and thus there is talk of magic versus coincidence and superstition between the English and Scottish characters in the story. Very pleasant, easy read. Will be interesting to see how things turn out.

Delightful & fast read. As the story progresses and wraps toward the finish I am smiling and picturing this on stage as a play or as I mentioned before, a movie.

I didn't know what to expect with this book. The beginning, with introduction of characters and back stories seems slow, but the pace and anticipation pick up as you get farther into the book. Now I am thinking what a great PBS or historical Hallmark movie this would make. I am rooting for the good guys and ill-wishing the bad guys and wondering how it will play out. Like when watching Pride & Prejudice mini-series.
