I'm not even catholic, but this comes off like the mad-tangential ravings of a lunatic I saw scrawled on the inside of Mcdonald's toilet-stall the other night.

XIs infamous syllabus of errors which condemned the decline of monarchies, separation, of church and state, democracy (liberalism), and pluralism (known as moral relativism, a concept at the time which few Europeans were familiar with at the time). All these statements branded the church as a source of political reaction-ism designed to oppress the body rather than liberate the soul.

Let's see he's opposed to: liberalism, modernism, moral relativism, secularization, and the political emancipation of Europe from the tradition of Catholic monarchies...

So... anything modern. Ever.

Catholic Church is here, teaching on a number of philosophical and political questions, and referred to documents issued previously, to settle old beef once and for all.

Reading this for theology class. The pope essentially put out a hit list of 80 heresies he had beef with.
