As hunger slowly kills beck and tikaani they make a trap. With wood, sticks, and some leaves a trap was made. Fish nosing at the trap but not fully in. Finally a fish caught but not enough for them all them. More traps where made and more fish where caught. Finally they ate.

Beck and tikaani are put to the task to save Uncle al. As they have just got down a mountainside they now have to go across a river. However this time it is not like crossing a lake. The ice won’t break below you. Beck and tikaani got a rope and tied it to each other. Now walking across if one fell they would have to rely on the other.

As Beck and Tikaani are on the quest to save Uncle Al they face some challenges. Going up a mountain. As if they had already had enough by walking 5 miles they face a mountain. There is no wasting time in Alaska. They needed to be high, and away from bears. As they climbed up the mountain Beck says “ If you stop it will give you nothing but less energy.”

As Beck instructs tikaani to do tasks he is faced with a problem. Building a raft later on in the day to get to Uncle Al would be difficult so he decided to build it then by a river. A river would provide hem with stranded pieces of would. Two long planks was all he needed. Eventually he found them and got drift wood to make the raft. Now Beck and tikaani have built the raft and can now move on to the tasks ahead.

Both Beck and tikaani were about to be ate by a blizzard. When Beck soon started to build a little snow shelter. Beck and Tikaani carved a massive area into piled up snow on the side of a mountain then soon made walls to stop wind from getting in. The conflict here is blizzar, cold and harsh

Tikaani experienced a near death moment. As of he was screaming his moth, wide open from how cold it was. Beck on the other hand was cold, but not to cold to be screaming. Beck founded some dry tinder and started a fire. Tikaani was told to walk around in a circle with high knees and flaying arms. By doing this for a long time Tikaani was near regular body temperature.

Tikaani fell though the ice and was freezing cold. His friend Beck helped him out. Beck said to move slow and then roll onto the ice. We left the backpack at the bottom of the lake so he wouldn’t drown. Beck helped him get out and warm up by stripping his cloths and putting new cloths on, he sat by the fire that was temporarily made. This chapter was my favorite because of the action.
