Melody missed the flight and was left into not going to Washington. She was really disappointed and now is just stuck at home thinking what if she went.

Melody is feeling left out on her team and she thinks that they don't like her because she is different. She does not like that she drools and makes funny noises. Even though she is the one that wins it for her team every time, she does not like the attention that is given to her because it does not feel genuine.

Melody and her team just won the Wiz Kid regional competition and is now going to Nationals. If they win that, they get to go on Good Morning America and get interviewed.

A lot has happened. Melody has entered 5th grade and now is able to communicate better with a computer that she has acquired through her parents. She is on the Wiz Kids team and is doing very well too. She made the main team which makes other people very unhappy because a kid in a wheelchair beat them. She had a perfect score on the test and the other kids didn't and the teacher had to explain that to them.

I'm at the part where Mrs.V is introduced into the child life and she treats her like all of the other kids and doesn't see that she is special needs at all.

I'm at the part where she just got enrolled in school and the stuff that she is learning, she already knows. She learns more from the tv that she watches. Everyone that is "normal" ignores her and she doesn't like that. She doesn't expect people to talk to her but just a little hi is all she wants.

I'm at the part where they bring her into an evaluation room and she did not do very well.

I'm at the part where the main character can't express herself in the way other people can express herself and that makes her frustrated. He loves lemons. She can remember all the tastes smells and sounds that she has experienced in her life but she can tell them to other people.
