कडक हिवाळ्यात इथं दिवसाचं पाखरू दोन्ही अंगांनी मिटतं. सकाळचे आठ वाजून गेले तरी उजाडत नाही दुपारी साडेतीन-चार वाजताच अंधार पडतो. जेमतेम सहा तासांचा दिवस आणि अठरा तासांची लांबच लांब रात्र. थंडी मी म्हणत असते. दिवस दिवस आभाळ ओथंबलेलं असतं. बर्फानं भरलेले ढग कधी इतके खाली येतात की टाचा वर करून जरा हात उंचावला तर शिंकाळ्यावरच्या लोण्यासारखं त्यातलं बचकभर बर्फ काढता येईलसं वाटतं.

I feel like treading through the London streets, amongst the jolly good British folks. In the beginning there's a description of the places and searching them online gives me almost complete picture of the places.

OK, it is a reread, maybe after some fifteen odd years. It still feels refreshing.
