Tonight we reread Jack and the Beanstalks by request for the giant that says fee fi fum. LOL Then we read Sleeping Beauty and The Little Mermaid. Not th mermaid I ever knew. I think I prefer Disney's ending better...

In continuing the journey of P3/4 with my fourth child, we started off in this one by reading Beauty and the Beast. She was appalled that I would stop at one story and insisted that I read the entire book.

In continuing the journey of P3/4 with my third child, we started off in this one by reading Jack & the Beanstalk. When I told him what we were reading before bed, he said in his newly five-year-old wisdom, "But, why would you read that at nighttime, there are giants!?"

Tonight of course started with a request of Jack... and then we read The Fisherman and His Wife in a version very different from any I remember. Followed by The Princess and the Pea and The Snow Queen, which I enjoyed.

And again with Jack and the Beanstalk. She seems to enjoy Fee Fi Fo Fum. Then onto The Frog Prince. I think that was it for tonight.

Tonight we read Jack and the Beanstalks as well as the brief The Selfish Giant. Already I think I will like this one. My favorite part is the table of contents that has an illustration for each story. Perfect for my preschooler to pick out a story even before she can read the titles.
