I thought this book was extremely well written and I really appreciated the novels ability to make both sides understandable and committed in their causes. While I believe David is trash among men, I was sad to see the novel end the way it did. I really appreciate what this novel taught me about Afghanistan and how it further proved to me how the US is awful at international relations.
