I'm already feeling a bit lost, to be honest. Do I need to read Bardugo's other stuff first to fully understand what's going on?
There are some spoilers about the Grisha trilogy but I also read this book first. I didn’t mind as I forgot about them by the time I started reading the trilogy (I don’t have the best memory). The book may seem a little confusing at first with the switches between characters each chapter but I don’t remember it being an issue for me.
Jessic also started reading this after I suggested it about 836 times while she had trouble finding something good to read and she ended up loving this and Crooked Kingdom.
Alright, thanks Kim!I'm not far into the book yet, still the first POV, so those switches you mentioned haven't even been an issue yet. I just feel like the author presumes I know a lot more about her world than I actually do, you know?
I'll keep reading, though. I'm enjoying the writing, and knowing that the both of you loved this so much gives me hope. :-)
