This book is...heavy. I don't mean that in a bad way - although it isn't the kind of book I'd recommend reading if you feel like a cheery pick-me-up - but it is taking me a while to listen to just because there's a lot in it. A lot of characters, dense and murky emotions, serious themes.

I do love it though. And the moments of humour help to cut through it, too.

So this book just made me care aggressively about *straight people*. That is an ACHIEVEMENT. (I am assured that this series features queer characters, which makes it easier.)
