I remember a lot of things right before they happen, and recall a lot of the old jokes/references. I'm used reading faster-paced stories now, but the pace is enjoyable at the moment even if the characters keep making mistakes that should kill them. Still haven't decided if I'm re-reading the whole thing or just the first few then skipping to where I left off (book 10 or 11).
