I picked up this book after reading 5 Ghosts, because I thought it was the same creative team. Barbiere as the writer seems to have found a narrative style that's easier for laying out a backstory, but the art is not as captivating as 5 Ghosts. Victor Santos reminds me very much of Darwyn Cooke, perhaps a little less cartoony with more hatching and focus on detail.
