Struggling a bit with the animal cruelty of the second main story of the book, principally concerning the bizarre friendship between Lakshman and Raju, the latter being a ‘dancing’ bear. (There’s a few goats who lose their heads as well). Part of this is me having my cultural blinkers on, or 19 years as a card-carrying vegetarian. Still, it's morphing into a charming set of tales.
