Expected it to be a lot more intense than the movie, but wow... Ellis really makes you feel the depths of Bateman's psychosis and the allusions to the material excess of the late 80's are palpable. What's real? What's a hallucination? Looking forward to reading some critical analyses on this novel once I'm finished. 4 or 4.5 stars to this point.
