The morale of the book seems to be that unless you're monitoring your thinking for errors and biases and using "system 2" or slow thinking, you'd do as well with making decisions based on a coin-toss as you would using fast thinking or "system 1", except for the cases when your intuition is wrong and you'd do better trusting chance than yourself.
