Scquest What do you think so far?

Andrea It's been helpful. I would have liked something a little more in depth, though. The author mentions that this started out as an idea for something to write about on his blog. The writing feels consistent with that - it's more casual and disjointed than I would like and it reads like an op ed or essay. One of my biggest criticisms is that, being such a short book, there isn't a lot of support for some of the arguments/points he makes and sometimes his opinions don't seem well-founded (for example, there are metaphorical interpretations of scripture in a few places that seem questionable). BUT...it has really made me think about this topic. I appreciated his thoughts on the difference between "rest" and "do no work." I had never noticed that wording before. He also suggests that a weekly sabbath is like a tithe of our time and a test of faith that God will provide. That really stuck with me because I am stingier with my time than I am my money! I've spent little time on this topic so it's bringing up a lot of things to think about. For me, it has made a nice introduction to this topic but I wouldn't want to end on it.
