The beginning of this was interesting but in true Me(TM) fashion I got distracted...
I came back, though, and I can tell it's one of those books that slowly, gently charms you.

I'm enjoying this more in print than in audio format for some reason, which is unusual for me. And I am enjoying it - there should be more queer fantasy books with a female protagonist. My search thus far has been mostly futile and I'm going to have to petition BB to start writing them.
