not 2 dredge up whatever the idiom is (dirty laundry? but old old stuff that's hopefully been put to rest now?) but someone mentioned riptide and I was vaguely reminded of the drama from a couple yrs ago I was only vaguely aware of, which led me to reading an author's blog post and there's a lot of interesting discussion on like how the industry works and stuff in it/the comments
