Starting reading this for when I want to read but can’t drudge through Gaddis’s cryptic prose in THE RECS. So far it’s flying by; I’ve only been reading for a few hours and am already almost halfway finished. This is my first McCarthy, and I’m glad that I have several others (BLOOD MERIDIAN & the Border Trilogy) on my bookshelf to pick up where THE ROAD ends.
