I don't understand how the first one in this duology could be so charming and this sequel so DULL. I mean, the heroine is a twit and the hero is a (former?) rapist, so that doesn't help, but it also doesn't completely account for why this book is so very, very, very boring. ...I shall endeavor to finish it, but we'll see how that goes....
