This is the worst written of the cozy mysteries I’ve read so far. It’s actually an interesting story but needs a good editor. It must be self published. There’s too much repetition in dialogue, and the MC rationalizing her weight in relationship to her ex-boyfriend goes on far too long. She never learned that you should show the reader what is going on instead of telling them.

I've finished the first of the four books of this series, The Long Paw of the Law. It is a shining example of how badly one needs an editor in self-publishing. The story has decent structure, however a good editor would have told her to SHOW what was happening and not bang you over the head with over explaining. The characters eating and weight become obsessive not descriptive. It needs a lot of work.

I have finished the first book of the series and all I can say is that while self-publishing is a wonderful thing, it does leave the author without the valuable tool of an editor.
This book had a basically good story foundation. There is enough uncertainty about who the murderer is that you don’t guess it, but the author has not learned to show what is going on and not tell it. Her repetitive sentences and
