It just gets worse and worse... I hate Lillian, and now I hate the people that hate Lillian. Even Sally, whom I thought might be a longstanding good person, is showing signs of what everyone else has, a very deservedly low opinion of Lillian.
We have not heard from Irene as yet, so I am still imagining her as the only "good" person in the book.
