why does this keep happening? Why are all these men who write how to write books so shitty in their personal views?

Finished "on becoming a novelist" I think it was the shot in the arm I needed for continuing my own writing (I have a novel in the works now). I love how honest the book was and how even though you can tell he has way higher standards than most people his advice still is relatable.
