I think I had different expectations because this is supposedly one of her "adult" fantasy series but it is very much YA. Not that there is anything wrong with that - I was just expecting something a bit different. The world-building is really strong and I'll probably continue with the series because of that. The characters are a little bit flat and not as interesting as I'd hoped after reading some reviews. Wow, I'm really selling it to you hey!
Haha yeah not so much. But a 4 out of 5 isn't so bad! Might have to pick it up!
