not sure I can finish this book. As it is, I'm reading a page here or there and skipping the rest of the chapter. There are a lot of unnecessary details, perhaps cathartic for the author to put down on paper, but not relevant as a reader. The writing is very direct and so far I'm not really interested in learning more even though Iris Chang is a figure who intrigues me. Maybe I should just stick to Iris' books.
