I'm 300 pages in to this book and so bored I don't think I'll bother to finish it. Some of the writing is beautiful, but so, so much of it is overly detailed and, I don't know, it's like Tartt was overly enchanted with her own descriptions and could not bear to trim even one word. I don't like any of the characters except Hobie.
