Started off a bit confusing with italicizes flashbacks but I quickly got used to that. I'm enjoying this interesting take on magic. Having a hard time warming up to the main characters and can't put my finger on why. I'm enjoying the book. I like the idea. Characters so far are reasonably well developed. Action is good. Writing is good. I'm looking forward to continuing on with the book.
