This was a wonderful book full of very skilled, descriptive writing. As a new resident of the state of Arkansas, I was pleased to find this Arkansas author. I was immediately drawn into the story and the fact that this unbelievable background story was not fictional was astonishing. The story switches settings from present day to past which I usually get somewhat annoyed with but this author wove the story together .
