This is a short book that reads quickly, so I'll finish it. The story is ok, but I really do not like the writing style.

There are often whole pages.
Of 2-8 word sentences.
Each on their own line.

I can understand doing a bit of this for dramatic emphasis, but it's done all the time, for no reason. The ex-English teacher in me is struggling. 😆
